Designing with an Actel FPGA. Part 3
Running Libero IDE
We are almost ready to start Libero but before we do there are a few things we have to fix. We will run Libero in Ubuntu 10.04. Actel tells us they only support Redhat Linux but at the same time they say the difference is not big so let's give it try.
We will start by reading the document Software Installation and Licensing Frequently Asked Questions. In Chapter 7 we find the following information.
Installing OPENmotif shared libraries
The OPENmotif libraries can be found here.
Adding the Libero bin directory to the $PATH variable
Add this line to the .profile file:
and source .profile
Clean up the environment
Use this command to clean up the environment. This script is Korn shell script. We may have to get ksh.
--> actel_wuclean -R
Set the DISPLAY variable
Use this command to set the DISPLAY environment variable:
--> export DISPLAY=:0
Starting Libero IDE
We are ready to start:
--> libero &
After a short time this window pops up.
